Based on the regulations set by the Ministry of Education, all international/exchange students are required to have a valid health insurance upon arrival in Korea. This can either be a health insurance from the student’s home country, or a Korean health insurance obtained upon arrival. The student needs to hand in a proof of insurance at the Office of International Cooperation.

The Ministry of Education also requires all students living in housing offered by the university to hand in a Tuberculosis (TB) health check certificate. If students are unable to get this certificate in their home country, they are obliged to get tested after arrival in Korea. The check is done via an X-ray photo of the student’s lungs. This TB health check is offered for free to all international students residing in housing offered by the university. The health certificate needs to be handed in at the dormitory office within 30 days after arrival.
